The Project

SP NET is a fibre broadband internet service provider in Chattogram, Bangladesh, and many of its customers use the ISP's local movie, TV and FTP streaming servers every day. We built the SP NET app so they can reach everything from one place on an Android phone or an Android TV: the full list of streaming servers, the self-care portal for bills and account details, internet packages, and a one-tap help line on call or WhatsApp. The app is written in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose and Material 3, with a separate TV layout designed for the remote control and D-pad focus. Server links, contact numbers and announcements come from the SP NET website's CMS through a small JSON API, so the ISP team adds or changes a server in the admin panel and customers see it right away — the app refreshes when the servers screen opens and supports pull-to-refresh, and keeps a cached copy so it still works when the connection is weak. Local streaming servers open inside the app in a secure WebView with safe navigation rules, video playback and file downloads, while other links open in the browser. The app ships as a signed APK from the SP NET website and GitHub releases, with a Google Play listing prepared, and covers the whole customer journey from finding a movie server to paying the monthly bill.

01 — App design for phone and TV

We designed a simple home screen around what SP NET customers use most — streaming servers, bill payment and support — and a separate Android TV experience where every card and button works with a TV remote.

02 — CMS connection and release

We connected the app to the SP NET website CMS through a JSON config API with caching and refresh, hardened the WebView for local servers, tested it on phones and TV, and published signed APK releases for direct download.
